Beyond 2015: Financing Equitable Access to Health
July 2, 2015
The last fifteen years of the MDGs have led to unprecedented gains in global health and economic development, but the impact is not equitably felt across populations. A panel discussion on the occasion of the 3rd International Conference on Financing and Development will discuss future health financing model and achieving equitable access to healthcare in the Sustainable Development Goals.
Although country income is growing rapidly, achievements in health often lag behind. The Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs)have strong commitment to leaving no one behind, providing an unprecedented opportunity to place equity at the centre of a global health agenda. This event will bring together donors, partner countries, technical partners and civil society to discuss their respective roles in the future health financing model and achieving equitable access to healthcare in the SDGs.
The panel discussion will take place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on Wednesday 15 July 2015, 13.15-14.45hrs. Louise van Deth, executive director of STOP AIDS NOW! will be moderating.
