    Planning and Support Tool for Empowering Approaches to SRHR Education with Young People

    This evidence and rights-based Planning and Support Tool helps organisations to identify how and what they can improve in order to have high quality HIV prevention and SRHR education programmes for young people in place. The fully revised second edition of this practical tool captures all up to date research findings and translated this evidence for practical use. The tool can be used to plan new interventions, but also to analyse existing interventions. The first edition of the tool is also available in French and Portuguese. more

    This guideline is developed as a joint activity of the Community of Practice of the STOP AIDS NOW! HIV and livelihoods linking and learning project.     This note was prepared by the UNAIDS Secretariat in collaboration with the Inter-Agency Working Group on HIV and Social Protection, Care and Support. It draws upon the expertise of UNAIDS and the experience of its Cosponsors and partners on HIV and social protection. This Guidance Note provides information on the recommended investments in HIV and social protection. It also highlights the definitions, principles, evidence and practices for effective HIV and social protection programming. The guidance in this document applies to different population groups and calls for particular attention to specific groups, including key populations. Specific guidance will have to be developed to address in more depth the needs of key populations. more

  • Fast Track - Ending the AIDS Epidemic by 2030

    Fast-Track: ending the AIDS epidemic by 2030 is launched by UNAIDS ahead of World AIDS Day 2014. It outlines that by quickening the pace over the next five years the AIDS epidemic can be ended as a global health threat by 2030. The report also states that by doing so 28 million new HIV infections and 21 million AIDS-related deaths will be averted. more
