STOP AIDS NOW! at Women Deliver

The Women Deliver conference is the world’s largest conference on health, rights and wellbeing of girls and women. STOP AIDS NOW! will be at the conference, that will take place 17-19 May 2016 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Women, and in particular young women and girls often face high risks for sexual and reproductive health and rights violations and are therefore more vulnerable for HIV. STOP AIDS NOW! works on improving the sexual health and rights of young women in Africa with comprehensive sexuality education, youth friendly services and by integrating HIV and SRHR.

As partner in the SRHR Alliance and the Get Up Speak Out, for Youth Rights programme, we are proud to be part of various panel discussions, side events and concurrent sessions at the conference:

Sexual and Reproductive Rights within communities

Understand sexual and reproductive rights on a personal level. How do individuals within various communities in the Global South exercise their right to choose their partners, when to marry, how many children to have and when? Explore these questions at this concurrent session.

Holland House

Experience the Dutch Approach, where interactive sessions will take place on Contraceptives and save abortion, Comprehensive Sexuality Education, Youth Friendly Services and Child Marriage, HIV/SRHR integration, Maternal Health and Gender Based Violence.

Among others STOP AIDS NOW! will facilitate “Sex Ed in Practice” intermezzo, with a condom challenge and a young people make a change video. Link Up will facilitate a youth advocates session.
